40-Hour Professional Guardian Course

This course meets the requirements for becoming a Professional Guardian in the State of Florida and provides state authorized instruction and training as required under Florida Statute s.744.2003. This class is a pre-requisite for the state examination.

This is a Live interactive class through the convenience of Zoom.

The course runs for 5 consecutive Saturdays from 9AM am – 5:00 PM. No absences are allowed. Students must pass the in-course exam with a 70 or higher. Course instructors are former Magistrate Lewis Kimler, Attorneys David Mangiero and Alex Cuello, and Professional Guardians Barbara Reiser and Carlos McDonald.

Cost: $450.00 [Registration fee refundable only if cancelled in writing 7-days before start date.]

The Zoom registration details for obtaining the Zoom link needed and course materials will be sent a week before the class commences. Please make sure you input your correct information when registering including your mailing address. The name you register with will be the name provided on your certificate upon passage of the course.

SPECIAL NOTE: The current state training manual is very outdated. GPDC has spearheaded the effort to re-write and update the manual. During this month of April officials in Tallahassee will be reviewing for official state approval. Until then the next course offering is on hold. Anticipate next course will be tentatively starting June 1. Please check back at a later time.
