GPDC is a leading provider of the 8-hour and 4-hour Family Guardian courses as well as the 40-hour Professional Guardian course.
Both Family Guardian courses provide the court-authorized instruction and are designed to help family guardians with specific aspects of guardianship.
Guardianship Program of Dade County is an authorized provider of the Family Guardian courses in the following Judicial Circuits – the Eleventh (Miami-Dade), the Fifteenth ( Palm Beach), and the Sixteenth (Monroe).
4-Hour Family Guardian Course
The 4-hour Guardian course meets the requirements of s.744.3145(3), F.S., to be the guardian of property of a minor child.
8-Hour Family Guardian Course
The 8-hour Guardian course meets the requirements of s.744.3145(2), F.S., to be guardian.
40-Hour Professional Guardian Course
The 40-hour course meets the requirements for becoming a Professional Guardian in the State of Florida under Florida Statute s.744.2003. Guardianship Program is an authorized provider by the Office of Public and Professional Guardians (OPPG) within the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
